I grew up in a motel.
My mother ran The Bridge Water Inn until I was a teenager. We lived in room #6 right above the water and my dad sold solar panels out of the front office. We could fish from our windows if we wanted to.
Spring break and summer vacations were spent in the Peruvian Amazon, remote Vietnam or tribal territory, always following the latest demand of my father’s solar work. This was our way to keep the family close as opposing responsibilities pulled us in different directions.
Today I work with light (like my father) and I work in hospitality (like my mother). A sum of their parts and something completely unexpected.
This is my story. Now let me help you tell yours.
